Perfect North Slopes, Ski resort in Miller Township, Indiana.
Perfect North Slopes is a ski resort in Indiana with trails for all ability levels and a vertical drop of about 400 feet (122 m). The site also has tubing lanes, several chairlifts and carpet lifts, and a snowmaking system that covers every trail.
The resort was opened in 1980 by the Perfect family, who started with just two handle tows and one main run. The money to fund the project came from cattle sales, which points to the family's farming background in this part of Indiana.
The resort draws families and groups from the surrounding region who gather here through the winter months to ski and tube together. Beginners and more experienced skiers share the same slopes, giving the place a social, community feel.
Snow conditions can vary, so it is worth checking the resort's current conditions before you head out. Equipment rental is available on-site, and trails are marked by difficulty level, making it straightforward to find runs that suit your experience.
In 2022, a trail on the eastern side of the resort was named Ella Mae Way in honor of one of its founding family members. It is unusual for a ski resort to name a trail after a specific individual, making this run a personal tribute rather than a standard geographical marker.
