Randolph Tower, Gothic Revival skyscraper in Theater District, Chicago, US.

Randolph Tower is a Gothic Revival skyscraper in Chicago's Theater District built from limestone with an ornate exterior. The 45-story structure features elaborate terra-cotta decorations, pointed arches, and intricate patterning across its facade.

The tower was built in 1929 as the Steuben Club Building and initially served as offices and a gathering place for German-American social activities. It represents a chapter in how immigrant communities shaped Chicago's downtown spaces.

The building reflects late 1920s Gothic Revival design through restored terrazzo floors, marble wainscoting, and original hardware visible throughout its spaces. These preserved details create a connection between the structure's past and how people live there today.

The building now houses residential apartments and sits near public transportation for easy access to the surrounding area. Visitors can explore the Theater District on foot, which offers nearby restaurants, shops, and cultural venues.

The building's original ballroom was transformed into a modern fitness center while keeping its architectural details from the 1920s intact. This conversion shows how historic spaces can take on new purposes while retaining their original character.
