30 North LaSalle

30 North LaSalle is a modern high-rise building in the Chicago Loop with 44 floors rising approximately 553 feet (169 m). The exterior combines steel, glass, and emerald pearl granite, creating a distinctive presence in the downtown financial district.

The site was home to the Chicago Stock Exchange Building from 1894 until 1972, when it was demolished. This building was constructed in 1975 to replace that late-19th-century landmark.

The International Style architecture of 30 North LaSalle represents the modernist movement that transformed American cities during the mid-twentieth century.

The building is located in the financial district with easy access to public transportation and pedestrian walkways. Keep in mind this is primarily an office building with limited public access to interior spaces.

Ten vertical columns of windows extend from the second floor to the roof, interrupted by metallic temperature regulation systems at specific service floors. This design merges technical requirements with visual rhythm.
