Chicago Title and Trust Center, Office tower in Chicago Loop, US
The Chicago Title and Trust Center is a 230 meter high-rise with a glass and steel structure spanning 50 floors. The tower accommodates numerous businesses and offices throughout its modern floor layouts.
This tower was completed in 1992 and replaced the former Greyhound Bus Station that once occupied the site. The project marked a major shift in how the downtown business district was developed and modernized.
The building shows how office towers were designed in the early 1990s, with its eastern-facing slanted roofline and lit upper sections that stand out against the Chicago skyline.
The building has 23 elevators distributed throughout its space, providing efficient access to its different levels. Multiple entrances serve different areas of the building and make navigation straightforward for visitors.
Original plans included a twin tower at 181 N. Clark Street, but the project was canceled twice before any construction began. A parking structure was built at that location instead.
