Public School 108

Public School 108 is a three-story brick schoolhouse with Lake Superior sandstone trim and dormer windows in the attic level. Its facade follows Romanesque Revival principles, with a seven-bay central section connected to three-bay end pavilions through recessed wings.

Architect James W. Naughton designed this schoolhouse in 1895 during a period when Brooklyn needed more educational facilities to handle growing enrollment. It earned designation as a New York City Landmark in 1981 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The school is located in the Cypress Hills neighborhood and operates today as P.S. 108 Sal Abbracciamento School, serving the community as an active educational institution.
