SIUH Community Park

SIUH Community Park is a baseball field in Staten Island with 7,171 seats and an open view toward the Manhattan skyline. The FerryHawks play their home games here, while the stands run along the baseline and behind the playing surface.

The site opened in 2001 on former B&O Railroad yards, where baseball was already played in the 1880s. The location was chosen to continue the connection between sport and transport proximity at the ferry terminal.

The field hosts college teams from the city for games during the season when the franchise is not playing. Several schools from the region meet here for matches in front of crowds that appreciate the sport in local tradition.

The entrance sits about a five-minute walk from St. George Terminal, where the Staten Island Ferry docks. Bus lines S40 and S44 stop nearby and connect the site with other parts of the island.

In September 2001, the site served as a staging area for emergency workers who needed to cross to Manhattan. Proximity to the ferry terminal made it a logistics hub during the days following the attacks.
