Samuel Huntington Birthplace, Colonial-era house in Scotland, United States.

The Samuel Huntington Birthplace features a traditional saltbox design with a central chimney, five bays, and a side gable roof on its original foundation.

Built in 1732, this residence was the birthplace of Samuel Huntington, who later became a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Governor of Connecticut.

The interior maintains its Georgian central-chimney plan, containing original woodwork, plaster, a vestibule, narrow stairs, public rooms, and three second-floor bedrooms.

The museum opens for guided tours from May through October on the first Saturday of each month between 11 AM and 3 PM.

The property includes acres of farmland bordered by Merrick Brook, featuring stone walls, old-growth trees, and an abandoned historic road.
