Ashlawn, Historical farmhouse in Hanover, United States.

The two-story frame farmhouse Ashlawn features a five-bay front facade with pilasters supporting broken-base pediments and contains detailed moldings and wainscotting.

Joshua Perkins, a selectman and Connecticut state legislature member, constructed this residence on land that was part of a 1,200-acre parcel acquired by his grandfather.

The Georgian architectural style of Ashlawn represents the building methods and design preferences of 18th-century New England residential construction.

The building maintains its structural integrity through regular maintenance, including exterior repainting every four to five years to preserve its historical elements.

An older structure from the second quarter of the 18th century remains integrated into the main building as an extension wing.
