Built around 1835, this residence belonged to Dr. Ashbel Woodward, a Bowdoin College graduate who practiced medicine in Franklin starting from 1829.

The property contains a collection of historic artifacts and houses exhibits detailing local history, along with an art gallery for public viewing.
