Sherwood Green House

Sherwood Green House is a two-story residential building in Nolensville constructed with weathered wooden boards, square columns, and Doric-style capitals on the front porch. Inside, a staircase with square balusters and Greek Revival fireplace mantles are distributed across the different levels of the home.

The house began as a single-story log structure built in 1810 and underwent significant additions around 1840 and again in 1928. These expansion periods reflect how the family and its needs changed over more than a century.

The property preserves several outbuildings including an old log kitchen and a smokehouse with traditional notching. These structures show how a larger farm operated and what daily work looked like in earlier times.
