Sherwood Gardens, Public garden in Guilford, Baltimore, US.
The 6-acre garden features 80,000 tulips, magnolias, flowering cherries, wisteria, and dogwoods across well-maintained green spaces in northern Baltimore.
The land originated as part of the Guilford estate owned by Baltimore Sun founder A.S. Abell before John Sherwood established his gardens in the 1920s.
Each spring, the garden hosts the annual Tulip Dig event during Memorial Day weekend, where visitors can purchase and excavate tulip bulbs.
The garden offers free admission and welcomes visitors year-round, with street parking available along East Highfield Road, Underwood Road, and Stratford Road.
The entire garden sits on a former pond that was filled in 1912 when the Olmsted Brothers designed the surrounding Guilford residential community.
