St. Anselm's Catholic Church, Rectory and Parish Hall, Catholic church complex in Anselmo, United States
St. Anselm's is a church complex in Nebraska featuring a 95-foot belltower with limestone spires and a rectory building on the grounds. The property also includes a parish hall, an eight-room rectory with arched windows and dark woodwork, and a wooden one-car garage positioned southeast of the main structures.
The church building and rectory were constructed in 1928-1929, while the parish hall dates back to 1905 when it first served as the original church building. The older hall remained in use after the new church was completed in 1941.
The interior displays marble altars installed in 1948 and stained glass windows that filter light throughout the space. Visible ceiling rafters ending in decorative brackets create a distinctive visual rhythm above the pews.
The complex is visible from the street and easily recognizable by its prominent belltower. The separate buildings are spread across the grounds, allowing visitors to walk between them and observe the architectural details from different angles.
The parish hall preserves its original pressed tin ceiling and wooden pews from 1905, offering a glimpse into the early 20th century. A basement door added later provides access to kitchen facilities that were not part of the original design.
