State Correctional Institution – Graterford was a maximum security prison located in Skippack Township, Pennsylvania. The facility consisted of multiple buildings surrounded by high walls to house and contain inmates.
The prison opened in 1929 and assumed functions previously handled by Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. It operated until its closure in 2018.
