Standing Stone Trail, Long-distance trail in Fulton County, US

The Standing Stone Trail extends for 84 miles through Pennsylvania mountains, connecting Tuscarora Trail with Mid State Trail through forests and ridges.

The trail, established in the 1970s as Link Trail, gained its current name in 2007 to commemorate Native American genealogy marking practices.

The Thousand Steps section features a staircase built by railroad workers in 1936, representing the industrial heritage of Pennsylvania's mining era.

The trail crosses through multiple state parks, game lands, and natural areas, offering frequent access points and water sources for hikers.

Vanderbilt's Folly section incorporates an incomplete 1880s railroad grade with abandoned tunnels left behind after the project's bankruptcy.
