Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben received this 16,000-acre land grant for his instrumental role in training the Continental Army during the American Revolution.
The Sacred Grove burial site and memorial structures represent the lasting impact of German military expertise on early American military traditions.
The memorial grounds remain open daily from sunrise to sunset between May and October, with free admission and guided tours available.
Inside the site stands a replica of the two-room log cabin where Baron von Steuben spent his final summers before his death in 1794.
