Tivoli Nature Preserve, Nature preserve in Albany, New York, US.
The preserve encompasses 82 acres of land with diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, woodlands, and two lakes formed by damming Patroon Creek.
The land belonged to the Van Rensselaer family until 1850 when Albany purchased it to create a reservoir system for water distribution.
The preserve maintains a 70-plot community garden, enabling local residents to grow their own produce and connect with nature.
Visitors can explore multiple trails for hiking and wildlife observation, with interpretive signs providing information about local flora and fauna.
The preserve houses both Upper and Lower Tivoli lakes, which were originally constructed in 1851 as part of Albany's water supply system.
