One Commerce Plaza rises 252 feet with 20 floors, featuring a white exterior made of metal composite panels and large glass windows throughout the structure.
The building construction reached completion in 1971, replacing its original black glass and white marble facade with metal components during extensive renovations in 2007.
The ground floor contains multiple restaurants in the lobby area, while the upper levels house numerous New York State government departments and private offices.
Located at 99 Washington Avenue, the building stands as the thirteenth tallest structure in Albany, providing office space for both government and private sector operations.
Three individuals sustained injuries when strong winds caused a section of marble to detach from the building exterior on April 30, 2007.
