Treetops, State park in Stamford, United States
Treetops is a nature preserve with 94 acres of mixed hardwood forest, walking trails, and gardens near the Mianus River in Connecticut. The grounds form part of a larger park system with diverse habitats.
The estate belonged to singer Libby Holman during the 1920s before residents successfully preserved it as a state park. This transformation took place in the early 2000s.
The Treetops Chamber Music Society organizes yearly concerts and a daffodil festival with over 18,000 yellow flowers planted each fall. These gatherings make the property a place where music and nature come together.
The park entrance is located on Merribrook Lane with multiple trails connecting to the larger Mianus River Park. Wearing comfortable shoes is helpful since the routes pass through wooded terrain.
The grounds contain a century-old night-blooming cereus plant from the original owner's collection that still flowers today. It is also designated as a recognized bird sanctuary by the Audubon Society.
