Woerner Field, Baseball field at University of Dayton, United States.
Woerner Field is a baseball stadium on the University of Dayton campus with seating for approximately 500 spectators. The playing field measures 330 feet (100 meters) to left and right fields and 400 feet (122 meters) to center field, with grandstands and dugouts built into the surrounding brick structure.
The field opened in 2004 after the university relocated its baseball operations from Stuart Field. It received its current name in 2011 to honor former player Larry Woerner and his legacy with the program.
The field serves as home to the Dayton Flyers baseball program, bringing together students and alumni to watch Division I Atlantic 10 Conference matchups. Visitors see how the campus community gathers here to support collegiate athletics.
The stadium is easily accessible from the main campus and offers seating with clear sightlines throughout. Visitors should prepare for Ohio weather during the spring and summer baseball seasons, which can change quickly.
The field's design seamlessly blends the playing area with the surrounding brick facade, creating an unusual integration of sports infrastructure and campus architecture. This thoughtful integration makes the stadium visually distinctive within the university setting.
