YMCA Camp Cory

YMCA Camp Cory is situated on 27 acres (11 hectares) along Keuka Lake and offers activities such as sailing, climbing, archery, and nature exploration for children aged 7 to 15. The site contains cabins, a dining hall, and multiple spaces for sports and educational programs.

The camp was founded in 1892 and relocated to its present location in 1921 on Keuka Lake. It was named in honor of Lieutenant H. Lawrence Cory, who died in World War I.

The camp brings together children from different areas who share cabins and meals, building friendships through daily group activities and evening gatherings. This shared environment helps young people learn from each other and develop a sense of community.

The camp operates week-long sessions throughout summer and provides lodging with supervised cabins and 24-hour medical staff. Bring swimwear, hiking shoes, and weatherproof clothing, as most activities take place outdoors.

The camp operates a specialized fleet of RS Quest sailing boats on Keuka Lake that teach navigation and maritime skills to young sailors. These vessels are designed specifically for beginners and allow children to learn safely on the water.
