Lake Ahquabi State Park, Recreational state park in Warren County, United States.
Lake Ahquabi State Park extends across 770 acres of woodland terrain, centered around a 115-acre lake with sandy beaches and multiple fishing jetties.
The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed the park's stone lodge, shelters, and dam between 1934 and 1937, establishing infrastructure during the Great Depression period.
The name Ahquabi originates from Sauk and Fox Native American languages, translating to 'resting place' in reference to the natural surroundings.
The park maintains 141 camping sites with electrical hookups, modern restrooms, showers, boat rentals, and seven miles of multi-purpose trails for year-round activities.
Water quality improvements in the 1990s included extensive dredging, shoreline stabilization, and installation of aeration devices, resulting in twice the average catch rate of Iowa lakes.
