The Oleson Park Music Pavilion features a modern architectural design with poured concrete construction and reaches a height of thirty-six feet at its peak point.
The Works Progress Administration funded eighty-five percent of the construction costs during the 1930s, with Fort Dodge city providing the remaining financial support.
The pavilion serves as a central performance space for musical events, concerts, and community gatherings throughout the year in the Fort Dodge region.
Located at 1400 Oleson Park Avenue, the pavilion sits on three point four acres of land and contains specialized features for excellent sound projection.
The structure earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 through its architectural merit and connection to composer Karl King.
