Municipal Auditorium

The Municipal Auditorium is a performance venue in Downtown Kansas City with around 7,300 seats and blends architectural styles from the 1930s. Inside, it contains multiple performance spaces, including a smaller theatre section with an octagonal ballroom accommodating about 225 guests.

The building opened in 1935 as part of a New Deal program that created jobs during the Great Depression. It was constructed during a time when the country was investing in public works projects to support the economy.
