College Basketball Experience

The College Basketball Experience is a museum building in Downtown Kansas City with interactive exhibits focused on college basketball competition and history. The space displays uniforms, trophies, game footage, and memorabilia from legendary teams and players across decades of collegiate sports.

The facility opened in 2007 as a partnership between the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. This combination created a single location where fans could experience both institutions together for the first time.

The Hall of Honor displays accomplished coaches, players, and contributors through digital displays and multimedia presentations that highlight the stories of those who shaped college basketball. You can walk through and see how individual excellence has been recognized over time.

The museum is clearly laid out with multiple interactive zones, so plan for at least 2 hours to experience the main attractions. The location is central with parking available nearby and easy access to other downtown attractions.

The museum hosts an annual tournament in November where new members are inducted into the Hall of Honor with special ceremonies. This event draws basketball enthusiasts from across the country and makes visits during that month particularly lively.
