Nelson Dewey State Park

Nelson Dewey State Park extends over 1,600 acres along the Mississippi River, featuring woodlands, wetlands, prairies, and elevated bluffs overlooking the water.

The park, established in 1935, bears the name of Wisconsin's first governor and contains structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression.

Educational programs throughout the year focus on local wildlife, plant species, and environmental conservation, connecting visitors with the natural heritage of Wisconsin.

The park maintains multiple camping areas for tents and recreational vehicles, plus numerous hiking trails that range from beginner paths to advanced routes.
