Hamilton County Justice Center, County detention facility in Cincinnati, United States
The Hamilton County Justice Center is a twin-tower building in downtown Cincinnati with twelve floors in each structure. Elevated skywalks connect the two towers to one another and bridge across Sycamore Street to the county courthouse.
The facility opened in 1985 and incorporates architectural references to the former Cincinnati Work House and Hospital that previously occupied the site. Its construction reflected the county's need for a modern detention and court processing center.
The Justice Center processes approximately 55,000 individuals annually, making it one of the 25 largest detention facilities in the United States.
The building is centrally located in Cincinnati and easily accessible from the downtown area on foot. Visitors should be aware this is a secure facility with specific entry requirements and procedures.
Two elevated skywalks connect the twin towers to each other and link the facility to the Hamilton County Courthouse across Sycamore Street.
