The Beacon, Residential skyscraper in downtown Cleveland, United States
The Beacon is a residential high-rise at 515 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The tower has 29 floors, with eight of its lower levels dedicated to parking, and holds 187 apartments.
The Beacon was completed in November 2019 and became the first residential tower built in Cleveland's central business district since 1974. Its construction marked a return to downtown housing after more than four decades without a comparable project.
The Beacon sits in the heart of Cleveland's entertainment district, close to theaters and sports arenas. The building draws people into the daily rhythm of downtown, where events and street life are part of the surroundings.
The building stands on Euclid Avenue, one of downtown Cleveland's main streets, making it easy to reach on foot from surrounding blocks. Visitors staying nearby can walk to the entertainment district and other central points of interest without needing a vehicle.
The exterior of the building is clad in colored metal panels that shift in tone depending on how sunlight hits them throughout the day. The effect is subtle enough that many people walking past only notice it when they look closely or stop at a different hour.
