Albonabahn I, Aerial lift in Stuben, Austria

The Albonabahn I connects the valley station at 1408 meters to the mountain station at 1902 meters, covering a distance of 1115 meters.

The initial construction started in 1956, and the lift commenced operations on April 13, 1957, under the leadership of Emil Walch, Hansl Steiner, and Mayor Karl Brändle.

The lift system serves as a gateway to Ski Arlberg, contributing to the winter sports development of the Vorarlberg region since the mid-20th century.

The modernized gondola system, upgraded in 2023, now transports 1600 passengers per hour using eight-person enclosed cabins between the stations.

Near the lift stands Europe's deepest ventilation shaft, measuring 736 meters, which serves the Arlberg road tunnel transportation system.
