The Hoangho-Paiho Museum of Natural History

The Hoangho-Paiho Museum occupies three floors across 12,000 square meters, displaying collections of geological specimens, fossils, and biological artifacts from northern China.

French Jesuit Emile Licent established the museum in 1914, conducting explorations over 50,000 kilometers to gather 200,000 specimens from Yellow River and Haihe River basins.

The museum exhibits trace Earth's evolution through eight detailed sections, from the Cambrian period to human origins, incorporating Chinese geological discoveries.

Located at 31 Youyi Road, the museum operates from 9:00 to 16:30 except Mondays, requiring visitors to present passports for free admission.

The institution houses China's largest collection of 380,000 fossil specimens, including complete dinosaur skeletons of Mamenchisaurus and Bellusaurus.
