Qinghua Cave

Qinghua Cave is a solutional cave in Xiangcheng with multiple chambers carved by limestone dissolution over millions of years. The interior displays natural passages and rooms shaped by underground water flow that continues to influence its structure today.

The cave formed during the Cambrian and Ordovician periods approximately 400 million years ago through geological processes involving limestone dissolution. This immense timespan allowed water to carve deep structures into the rock and create its present shape.

The cave holds a place in local storytelling traditions, with tales passed down connecting it to regional folklore and the identity of nearby communities. These narratives shape how people experience and relate to the place today.

Access is arranged through guided tours, with lighting equipment and appropriate footwear available for rent at the entrance. Sturdy shoes are recommended since the internal paths are uneven and can be slippery in some areas.
