Changchun Cave

Changchun Cave is a limestone cavern in Weishan County featuring multiple chambers and natural rock formations that extend deep into the mountainside. The passages and rooms vary in size and character, shaped over thousands of years by water and geological processes.

The cave served as an important location during the era of the Nanzhao Kingdom and was used by different cultures across the centuries. It gained national protection status in recognition of its role in Chinese cultural heritage and archaeological significance.

The Yi and Hui communities gather at this location for spiritual meetings and local festivals deeply connected to the cave and its meaning. People regularly come together to honor their ancestral heritage and their relationship with this natural formation.
