Kollegiatstift St. Cassius,, Gothic monastery in Bonn, Germany.
The Kollegiatstift St. Cassius features three wings of a two-story cloister with barrel vaults and ribbed vaulting supported by precise arcatures.
Founded before 692 as a clerical community, the monastery developed from a memorial site for martyrs Cassius and Florentius into a canonical institution.
The chapter house contains cross-vaulted ceilings over two free-standing columns, representing the architectural methods of medieval religious construction.
Following World War II reconstruction, parts of the monastery integrated into a new rectory, while the west wing transformed into a parish hall.
The south wing displays advanced architectural elements compared to other sections, incorporating sophisticated ribbed vaulting and detailed structural designs.
