The building was established in 1912 as the first modern bathing facility in Cologne's districts and shaped the city's bathing culture. In 2002 it underwent comprehensive renovation and transformed into a contemporary wellness center.
The sauna areas embody two distinct wellness traditions: one section preserves historical character while the other offers an Asian-inspired bathing experience. Visitors experience contrasting relaxation methods when moving between these different spaces.
