Founded in 1986 by Hans Martin Mueller, the venue began as an unused workshop near Musikhochschule before moving to its current location on Wissmannstrasse in 1987.
The venue dedicates its programming to jazz and contemporary music performances, supporting both emerging local talents and international musicians throughout the year.
Located at Wissmannstrasse 30, the Loft maintains regular concert schedules and accepts advance ticket reservations through their official website.
During the 2020 pandemic, the venue transformed into a digital concert space, broadcasting live performances and earning recognition at the NRW Venue Program Awards.
