Kasselburg, Castle ruin with animal park in Pelm, Germany

The Kasselburg stands on a 490-meter high basalt massif, featuring a 37-meter double tower that overlooks the Eifel river Kyll valley.

Built between 1100 and 1200, the castle changed ownership multiple times, including the Blankenheim family and later the dukes of Arenberg.

The Eagle and Wolf Park within Kasselburg presents daily flight demonstrations of numerous birds of prey and maintains the largest semi-wild wolf pack in Western Europe.

The park operates year-round with regular wolf feeding sessions, offering adult tickets for 10 euros and children tickets for 7.50 euros.

Visitors can rent shepherd carts for overnight stays in the park, providing direct views of the medieval castle ruins and its resident wildlife.
