Markthalle VII

Markthalle VII is a market hall in Kreuzberg that occupies an entire city block and features multiple vendor stalls selling fresh produce and artisanal goods. The covered space houses many stands offering a wide variety of products to shoppers.

Hermann Blankenstein designed this hall as part of Berlin's network of fourteen covered markets, which opened on May 23, 1888. The structure was built when cities were creating central marketplaces to organize food and goods distribution.
