Steinwand

Steinwand is a mountain summit rising to 646 meters above sea level in the Rhön region, characterized by steep basalt cliffs and dense forest coverage. The peak offers hikers multiple marked routes that can be accessed from various starting points around the area.

The mountain formed millions of years ago through volcanic activity in the Rhön region, creating the distinctive basalt structures visible throughout the landscape. This geological history remains evident in the steep rock formations present today.
