Wasserburg Rohr, Medieval castle ruins in Rohr district, Stuttgart, Germany

The remaining elements of Wasserburg Rohr include a flat hill with a diameter of 22 meters and a water ditch spanning between 6 to 10 meters wide.

First documented in 1287 as castrum Roristage, the water castle belonged to the Lords of Rohr, who served as vassals to the Counts of Tübingen.

The castle site revealed numerous archaeological findings, including wall fragments, roof tiles, a statue of Mary, arrowheads, and iron buckles from medieval times.

Located in Rohrer Park, visitors can reach the castle site by following the Schönbuchstraße approximately 200 meters westward through the green space.

Two historical boundary stones marked with the letter R for Rohr stand near a wooden stele, connecting the medieval fortress to the modern district identity.
