Nesenbachviadukt, Railway bridge in Stuttgart, Germany.
The Nesenbachviadukt is a railway bridge in Stuttgart that spans across the Nesenbach Valley while carrying four parallel tracks for train traffic. The structure connects rail lines between Stuttgart-Vaihingen and the Osterfeld area.
The original bridge was built in 1877 but destroyed in 1945 and later rebuilt. After reconstruction, the entire structure was replaced again in 1985 while trains continued running without interruption.
The bridge represents a connection point within Stuttgart's transportation network, linking communities across the Nesenbach Valley through its four-track railway system.
The bridge is visible from nearby roads and can be observed from several viewing points in the valley. A good view of the structure is particularly clear from footpaths along the Nesenbach Valley.
The bridge underwent complete replacement in 1985 while railway traffic was continuously maintained. This achievement required highly precise engineering to keep trains operating on all four tracks without interruption.
