Wildbad Kreuth, Heritage monument in Kreuth, Germany
Located 65 kilometers south of Munich, Wildbad Kreuth features three main buildings, including the prominent Haus Nr. 1 and a chapel on the estate grounds.
King Max I Joseph of Bavaria purchased the estate in 1818 from the Abbots of Tegernsee, transforming it into a royal country residence for the Wittelsbach family.
The estate served as an educational center under the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung from 1974 to 2016, hosting approximately 12,000 guests annually for various learning programs.
The facility now functions as a conference center with three event spaces, including a mountain meadow, banquet hall, and historic fireplace room for different gatherings.
The location operated as a therapeutic bath establishment for 500 years until 1973, utilizing natural spring water and herbal remedies for medical treatments.
