Collegiate of San Miguel, Ampudia

The Collegiate of San Miguel exhibits a Gothic design with three naves covered by stellar cross vaults and an octagonal main chapel with pointed arches.

Initial construction began in the 12th century as a modest temple, later enriched in 1607 when the Collegiate of Husillos transferred to Ampudia under Duke of Lerma.

The church received recognition as a Cultural Heritage Site in 2010 by the Junta de Castilla y León, including protection of its surrounding environment.

The church tower rises 62 meters high, divided into seven sections reinforced by buttresses and topped with a lantern decorated with balustrades and pinnacles.

Inside the Chapel of Saint Anne stands an alabaster altar by Vasco de la Zarza depicting Saint Anne, the Virgin, and Child, with relief of the Way of Calvary.
