Cala Rafalet

Cala Rafalet is a small cove on the coast of Sant Lluís featuring a narrow sandy beach surrounded by tall limestone cliffs. The sheltered setting between the rock walls keeps the beach protected from wind and crowds.

The cove formed through natural erosion over long periods and is part of the coastal system along eastern Menorca. The rock cliffs were shaped by wave action and weathering processes.

Local residents of Sant Lluís frequently visit this secluded beach for swimming and snorkeling activities while respecting its natural environment.

Access to the cove involves a walk through Mediterranean vegetation starting from the S'Algar area. The terrain is uneven and requires sturdy footwear plus care around the rocks.

The rock formation creates a natural resonance effect during moderate sea conditions that amplifies wave sounds. Visitors sitting on the rocks often notice this acoustic phenomenon quite clearly.
