Cala Alcaufar, White sand beach in Sant Lluís, Spain.

Cala Alcaufar is a white sand beach in Sant Lluís on Menorca. The small cove is enclosed by rock formations and offers a sheltered swimming spot with calm waters throughout the year.

The area was shaped in the 18th century by the construction of a defense tower to protect the settlement from attacks. This fortification reflects how important this coastal location was for local defense.

Local fishermen maintain their traditional practices, with small boats regularly departing from and returning to this natural harbor.

The beach is easily accessible from the village and has nearby parking facilities. A restaurant on-site provides food and refreshments, with a lifeguard on duty during summer months.

The water in the cove remains calm and clear due to the enclosing rock walls, making it particularly suitable for snorkeling. Small fishing boats regularly use this natural harbor for mooring.
