Royal Convent of Santa Clara, Religious convent in Úbeda, Spain.

The Royal Convent of Santa Clara features a rectangular nave with Mudejar coffering, two choirs, and a central cloister with a garden.

Founded by Franciscan nuns in 1290, this convent received Queen Isabella I of Castile in 1489 during her journey to the siege of Baza.

The building combines Gothic-Mudejar, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural elements, with its main Baroque portal dating from 1779.

Visitors can purchase traditional sweets made by the resident nuns through a turnstile at the entrance during regular opening hours.

The convent maintains a local tradition where brides bring twelve eggs to the nuns to prevent rain on their wedding day.
