Playa del Mago

Playa del Mago is a naturist beach in Calvià featuring a small cove with white sand measuring roughly 28 meters long and 20 meters wide. Mediterranean cliffs and pine trees frame the shoreline, creating a sheltered setting away from busier coastal areas.

The beach took its name in 1967 when the film 'The Magus' was shot here, featuring actors Anthony Quinn and Michael Caine. This movie production brought international attention to this remote coastal inlet.

The beach holds official designation as a clothing-optional location, making it one of the few recognized naturist spaces on the island. Visitors experience a relaxed and accepting environment where diverse people share the same stretch of coast.

The beach provides basic facilities including showers, a small bar, toilets, and sunbed rentals for comfort. Note that no lifeguard is on duty, so swimmers should exercise caution in the water.

Remains of a structure used during filming of 'The Magus' still stand on the beach today. These remnants offer visitors a tangible link to the cinema history woven into this location.
