Artsdepot

The artsdepot is an arts centre in North Finchley containing two theatre spaces: the Pentland Theatre with approximately 395 seats and a smaller Studio Theatre with approximately 148 seats. The building houses regular performances and exhibitions across multiple artistic disciplines and gallery areas.

The centre opened in October 2004 on the site of the former Gaumont cinema, which closed in 1980 and was demolished in 1987. The location was redeveloped as a new cultural space for the community.

The centre presents theatre, dance, music, and visual arts to audiences through multiple performance spaces and galleries throughout the year. It serves as a gathering place where the local community experiences a range of artistic styles and creative expressions.

The venue opens at 8:30 AM and closes at 5:30 PM, with box office hours extending to 8:00 PM for evening events. Plan ahead for shows and exhibitions to ensure you can access the performance or gallery visit that interests you most.

The building hosts the Creation Space, a research laboratory that supports annual artist residencies and serves as a venue for experimental creative projects. It also shares facilities with the London Studio Centre, an undergraduate performing arts college.
