Scott's View, Scenic viewpoint in Scottish Borders, Scotland.

The viewpoint presents a complete view of the River Tweed valley, the three peaks of Eildon Hills, and the rolling farmlands of Newtown St Boswells.

The site earned its name from Sir Walter Scott, the renowned 19th-century novelist who frequently stopped at this location during his travels to Abbotsford House.

The location connects to Scottish literature as Sir Walter Scott found inspiration here for his novels while observing the Border region's landscapes.

Visitors can access the viewpoint via a minor road from Earlston off the A68 or by traveling north from St Boswells up Bemersyde Hill.

During Sir Walter Scott's funeral procession to Dryburgh Abbey in 1832, the horses carrying his remains halted at this exact spot without any command.
