Valley Centertainment, Leisure centre in Sheffield, United Kingdom
Valley Centertainment is a large leisure complex in Sheffield, England, combining a multiplex cinema, restaurants, adventure golf, and indoor play areas for children. The site is laid out across a single level, with each area clearly separated and easy to move between.
The complex opened in the late 1990s, at a time when Sheffield was investing in new leisure venues following the decline of its steel industry. It was built on a former industrial site to the east of the city center.
The cinema regularly screens live broadcasts of theater productions and opera performances, alongside standard film releases. This draws a wide mix of audiences who might not otherwise visit a traditional theater.
The site has a large free car park, which makes it easiest to reach by car. Regular bus services from Sheffield city center also stop nearby for those arriving without a vehicle.
Paradise Island Adventure Golf inside the complex has two separate courses, each with its own theme and set of obstacles that are entirely different from the other. Both can be played back to back in a single visit without leaving the building.
