Established in 1855 by St Mary Abbots parish, the cemetery provided additional burial space following the implementation of the Burial Act of 1857.
The cemetery contains memorials for 65 Commonwealth service personnel from both World Wars, with a dedicated Screen Wall memorial for unmarked graves.
The grounds remain open daily from 9 AM, with seasonal closing times ranging from 4:30 PM in winter to 8 PM during summer months.
The 7.7-hectare cemetery forms part of an ecological corridor with Westminster City Cemetery, supporting local wildlife and plant species.
