Royal Garrison Church, Gothic Revival church building in Rushmoor, England
The Royal Garrison Church features stone dressings, intricate arches, and a slate roof, with five bays supported by round piers throughout its structure.
Constructed in 1863, this Grade II listed building served as the original garrison church for the permanent Aldershot barracks during the military expansion.
The church houses the First Division British Expeditionary Force cross, made from timber from Bazentin village, commemorating World War I Division casualties.
Located on Farnborough Road within Wellington Ward, the church maintains regular services under the Diocese of Guildford and welcomes military personnel.
The interior displays an arch-braced roof with mock-hammer beam structures and a square font decorated with eight marble shafts depicting evangelist symbols.
